ASSEMBLYMEMBER JACQUI IRWIN ENDORSES HENRY STERN

Thousand Oaks, CA – Today Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin announced that she is supporting Henry Stern for State Senate in the June 7 primary election.

“I have seen Henry working in the community, on the campaign trail, and in the capitol, with a unique combination of policy expertise and a good humored political nature in this all-too-toxic political environment,” said Assemblymember Irwin. “Henry’s commitment to defending public education, standing up for public safety and protecting our quality of life in the Conejo Valley make him uniquely qualified to represent this district. As a fellow collegiate athlete, I also see in Henry the competitive spirit and teamwork that make him a great leader.”

Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin serves Thousand Oaks as the representative of the 44th District. Irwin also served as Mayor of Thousand Oaks, where she fought to balance the budget and restore funding for both education and public safety, without raising taxes.

Democrat Stern (Canoga Park), an educator and environmental attorney, is leading the field in the 27th District, with a strong fundraising advantage, and support from prominent elected officials, business leaders, grassroots activists, and community organizations. Irwin joins the growing list of Ventura County leaders and organizations who have endorsed Stern, including:
